I always like to drive east at sunset during a full moon. As the moon rises in the east it appears abnormally large with a reddish-orange glow. The beautiful results from the white moonlight having its bluer colors scattered by the particles in the lower part of the atmosphere. The large size is more of an angular size illusion explained fairly well in the following link http://facstaff.uww.edu/mccreadd/.
While the exact full moon occurs at 3:27AM tomorrow night the moonrise around 8PM will display all the spectacular size and colors. For a couple of days the waning gibbous moon will still reflect some lingering twilight but nothing to compare with full moon.
No matter what time of year the rising full moon will occur at sunset. Pretty cool. On August 31, the blue moon will rise closer to7:15PM and on Sept 29th it will be 6:30PM. As a matter of fact St. Augustine Florida has wine parties in its lighthouse to celebrate. http://www.staugustinelighthouse.com/events/sunsetmoon.html
If you can't take advantage in a beautiful spot, then just appreciate the beauty on your drive home east form work
